Appointments:
Psychological assessments conducted within the practice rooms generally take 2 to 3 hours to complete, with a short break in the middle.
For all custodial assessments, we ask in such cases that a reasonable timeframe, approximately 4 weeks from the date of the assessment appointment, be given for us to complete the report.
Psychological Support/Assistance
You do not need a referral from a medical practitioner to see a psychologist.
Medicare Rebates: You may be eligible for up to 10 sessions of psychological counselling under the Better Access to Mental Health Initiative if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your General Practitioner (GP).
Depending on your level of private health fund cover, you may also be able to claim a rebate if you are not covered by Medicare. Please contact your health fund directly to enquire about rebates.

All our sessions are tailored to suit individual needs using different treatment modalities, such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness based CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, and relaxation techniques.
